BOOK FEATURE! - Slammed by Colleen Hoover

Hey! I hope your reading is going well. Today, I'm going to be sharing my thoughts about one of my favourite series ever - Slammed by Colleen Hoover.

Falling in love can feel like poetry.

I love this book so much, because when it started off really well, I just knew that something bad was going to happen to their relationship, but I didn't realise how much they couldn't be together! I love how all the parts with Will start with "That's not a good idea," because whenever he sees Layken she's always doing something wrong, but he still loves her anyway and will help her.

When I first got this book, I had never heard of slam poetry, and didn't know that it was going to be such an important topic in this book.

For those who don't know, slam poetry is a form of spoken poetry, which is performed live at an event called a slam and is critqued by judges that have been chosen from the audience.

In the book, Will and Layken attend many slams together, and even perform. I loved reading the poems and hearing more from Will's point of view through his performances.

Also, I just have to mention the covers. I got the whole series from the library and it took me a while to realise that if you line them up, they become a butterfly, which is referenced in the story.

I have given it a 5 star review on my Goodreads account, which I don't do very often, so I highly recommend this book, and the rest of the series to everyone.
